Hi! I'll read you 10 probability scenarios. For each pair of events, tell me how they're related, fast!

Independent
One event happening doesn't change the probability of the other. P(B | A) = P(B).
Dependent
One event happening changes the probability of the other. P(B | A) ≠ P(B).
Mutually Exclusive
The events can't both happen. P(A and B) = 0.

Mutually exclusive events are always dependent (if A happens, B's chance drops to zero). When both apply, answer Mutually Exclusive.
