Five throwers. Five targets. One assignment to get right.
Every thrower on your team has been filmed at the oche. Their radial miss distance — how far the dart lands from dead centre, in centimetres — follows a normal distribution with a known mean μ and standard deviation σ. Five targets are dealt, each with its own rings and point values. You assign one thrower to each target; your opponent assigns the same five throwers at random.
Optional — but the final report only carries a name if you enter one now.
Tight groupers (small σ) are wasted on a wide 5 cm target almost anyone can hit.
Loose throwers (large σ) still earn on generous targets — park them there.
Point values are not proportional to ring size. Read the payoff, not just the radius.
No target is larger than 10 cm across. Expected value is shown live as you assign.
